Northeast Indiana Building & Construction Trades Council is an independent, umbrella labor organization, representing 8 counties and 18 affiliated construction trades. We work to promote economic development in our area with a workforce that makes livable wages, worksite safety, and apprenticeship and journeyman level training. Our philosophy is “Value on Display—Every day”, and we truly stand by that.

The Northeast Indiana Council, chartered in 1977, represents over 4,500 working men and women. The Building Trades Council coordinates activities of common interest to its affiliated building trades unions and provides resources to the counties it represents.

The council works to promote economic development, worksite safety, and apprenticeship and journeymen level training. The council also works to help its affiliated unions organize new workers, pass legislation that positively affects working families, and it assists in the securing of better wages, hours, and working conditions through collective bargaining.
